Quranic Inspiration for Learning The first word revealed in the Quran was _Iqra_ - Read: *Surah Al-'Alaq (96:1-5)* > اقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ ، خَلَقَ الْإِنسَانَ مِنْ عَلَقٍ ، اقْرَأْ وَرَبُّكَ الْأَكْرَمُ ، الَّذِي عَلَّمَ بِالْقَلَمِ ، عَلَّمَ الْإِنسَانَ مَا لَمْ يَعْلَمْ *Translation:* "Read, in the name of your Lord who created. Created man from a clinging clot. Read, and your Lord is the most Generous. Who taught by the pen. Taught man that which he knew not." Allah has made the Quran easy for us to learn: *Surah Al-Qamar (54:17)* > وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ *Translation:* "And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?" We pray for increase in knowledge: *Surah Taha (20:114)* > وَقُل رَّبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا *Translation:* "And say, My Lord, increase me in knowledge." This Book is for reflection and remembrance: *Surah Sad (38:29)* > كِتَابٌ أَنزَلْنَاهُ إِلَيْكَ مُبَارَكٌ لِّيَدَّبَّرُوا آيَاتِهِ وَلِيَتَذَكَّرَ أُولُو الْأَلْبَابِ *Translation:* "A blessed Book which We have revealed to you, that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded."
